COAS Bajwa meets Lahore blast injured in general hospital visit
Gen Qamar Bajwa arrived at Lahore General Hospital where he overviewed the medical assistance
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived at Lahore General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon in an attempt to meet those injured in the tragic Ferozepur Road blast yesterday.
He was also briefed at the Corps Headquarters on Old Sabzi Mandi blast and current security situation in the provincial capital. Police officials also met with the army chief to discuss the terrorist attack in the district.
It is expected that Gen Bajwa will analyse security policy to avoid such incidents in future. The law enforcement agencies will formulate a plan to enhance security and punish those involved, including the accomplices.
As many as 26 were killed and 58 persons received severe injuries in the aftermatch of blast near Arfa Karim Software Park. Many of those people were transferred to Lahore General Hospital which is located near the blast location on Ferozepur Road.
