The provincial government has dismissed objections of Sindh Governor Zubair

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A cabinet meeting was chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Saturday in which the members approved amendment in National Accountability Bureau (NAB) bill.

The cabinet dismissed the objections of Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair’s on the bill. It has been decided to present the bill again in Sindh Assembly. The provincial ministers also dismissed an ordinance regarding the special power to remove government employees from positions. Advocate General said the ordinance is a violating of basic human rights and creates a contradiction between the law and constitution.

During the meeting, law secretary briefed the attendees on Sindh Police Act 2017 in which they are making important changes in the police department. It includes the formation of Sindh police authority which will be led by the chief minister.

The cabinet members discussed to launch MVR smartcard security feature. Excise secretary said smartcard will contain registration of vehicles, number plates and other security features.

Owing to the absence of Sindh Interior Minister Anwar Siyal, the discussion regarding peace and security could not take place.
