According to new law, government employees will be asked to present their stance before removal

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led Sindh government has decided to pass new legislation concerning the removal of government employees from their posts. The previous law which was passed in ex-President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf era will be revoked.

Sindh assembly is expected to revoke the Removal from Service Ordinance (RSO) which was passed in Musharraf era during 2000. According to the new law which will be passed in the coming days, government employees will be asked to present their stance before being removed from any post when accused of irregularities.

The provincial government will make necessary arrangements in the next session of Sindh assembly. Sindh AG Zameer Ghumroo had wrote to the government requesting removal of RSO 2000.

The government in the centre as well as all other provincial governments have already revoked the same ordinance in the respective tenures.
