PM Nawaz will return to Pakistan from London today following oil tanker tragedy in Ahmedpur Sharqia.

LONDON (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for Pakistan after cutting short his England visit following oil tanker tragedy in the town of Ahmedpur Sharqia in Punjab province.

The Prime Minister is expected to reach Islamabad from London today (Monday). He was earlier scheduled to return on June 30.

Nawaz Sharif will leave for Bahawalpur soon after his return to offer his condolences to the bereaved families. He will also enquire about the health of those who were injured in the incident.

Earlier, speaking to media after offering Eid prayer in London on Sunday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and termed it a national tragedy.

The premier said he issued orders to Punjab Chief Minister to take speedy measures in providing all possible assistance to the injured in the incident.
