People suffered from traffic jam at Shahra-e-Faisal, Nipa Chorangi, Rashid Minhas Road and elsewhere

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The hottest part of the year has arrived in which traffic jam woes are often at their peak in Karachi. Several highways in the provincial capital remained blocked with cars waiting in long queues on Saturday.

The people suffered from severe irritation today as their vehicles remained stranded in the traffic jam on Shahra-e-Faisal, Nipa Chorangi, Rashid Minhas Road, Shahra-e-Pakistan, Sadar and various other roads. The complicated situation of traffic flow in Karachi ahead of the holy month of Ramazan appears to be a warning for the residents.

Traffic flow on Rashid Minhas Road, University Road, Hassan Square, MA Jinnah Road, Lasbeela, and other highways remained undisciplined. People heading from offices to their homes faced prolonged blockage.

Sewerage water and departmental stores on Rashid Minhas Road resulted in blocking the traffic in Gulshan Iqbal and Nipa Chorangi. Traffic constables remained absent from these locations while they gave an excuse blaming a large number of vehicles on the road, encroachments, construction works for the disturbance in traffic flow.

The problem of traffic jam on Shahra-e-Quaid is yet to be resolved. Maintaining the traffic flow in Ramazan 2017 will be a challenge for the traffic regulatory authorities.
