Sindh governor for due rights to local bodies' representatives

The system within the city is extremely mismanaged: Zubair Umar

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh governor Muhammad Zubair Umar has professed that due rights should be given to the local bodies representatives as the system within the city is extremely mismanaged.

He let it be known during a meeting with Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar, Deputy mayor Arshad Vohra and other local bodies representatives at Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Building.

Zubair Umar expressed at the occasion that the power of disposing the garbage and availability of water should be with the local government.

He went on to say that Karachi Mayor has moved to court over the availability of due rights and that he will hopefully get justice from the court.

During the meeting, Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar was of the opinion that the federal government should keep a check over Sindh government.
