More chaos in Punjab Assembly: House echoed with slogans on Day-3
Opposition staged sit-in in front of Speaker's desk, PA seemed like a battlefield throughout session
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – More chaos was observed in Punjab Assembly on the third day as the house kept echoing with slogans throughout the session. Opposition also staged a sit-in in front of Speaker’s desk, reported Dunya News.
As the session began on the third day, Opposition demanded the permission to present resolution against Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif. When Speaker refused, the opposition started raising slogans. Opposition Leader Mehmood ur-Rasheed was the first to start the protest and other members joined in later. They encircled the speaker’s desk and staged sit-in as the protest intensified.
The treasury benches didn’t remain quiet either and kept raising ‘Ro Imran Ro’ slogans in reaction to opposition’s ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. The guest Chinese delegation also watched the session for some time.
