PPP held federal govt responsible for 'unjust' distribution of electricity, gas load shedding, water

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday staged a sit-in at Quaid-e-Azam’s tomb and demanded resignation from Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif. As a part of its anti-government campaign, PPP demanded resignation from PPP during the sit-in.

The party held the federal government responsible for the ‘unjust’ distribution of gas and electricity load shedding as well as that of water. Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah also led slogans against the rulers on the occasion.

A large number of male and female workers attended the sit-in and party leaders were also present in large numbers. They also raised slogans against the government.

In his address, CM Murad Ali Shah alleged the federal government of behaving like a step-brother with Sindh. He threatened of protests till PM’s resignation. The sit-in was also addressed by Sherry Rahman and other PPP leaders. They announced a public meeting at Nishter Park on May 1.
