Sindh Rangers will secure only four out of twelve sensitive areas of Karachi due to limitations

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers and Sindh government have exchanged several letters on the extension of Rangers  powers. The law enforcement agency is ready to secure only four out of twelve sensitive areas of Karachi due to certain limitations.

Sindh Rangers Director General (DG) Major General Mohammad Saeed wrote a letter to the Interior Secretary. He said that Rangers would only be able to secure four out of twelve sensitive areas in Karachi due to the limitations in troops.

While responding to the Sindh Rangers DG’s concerns, Interior Sectrary told that the Sindh government and Rangers could add more troops by mutual cooperation.


 Karachi security compromised


Also, Chaudhry Nisar called it ‘odd’ that the Sindh government was compromising on the security of Karachi. He said that other alternatives would be considered if Rangers’ powers were not extended.
