Boy languishing in Indian jail claims to be Pakistani
Babul alias Babu who is serving jail term in India has claimed that he is a Pakistani.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A juvenile who is serving jail term in an Indian jail has claimed that his is a Pakistani citizen. According to detail, Babul alias Babu languishing in Indian jail has said that he is a Pakistani.
However, Pakistan Foreign Ministry sources said that Babul alias Babu s/o Shamal G Sharma has no identity document to prove his claims. But the boy claims that his parents were from Pakistan.
According to Babul, his mother married to a Bangladeshi citizen after the death of his Pakistani father. He also said that his step-father used to torture him due to which he ran away from house.
Babul further said that he don’t know whether his mother is now in Pakistan or Bangladesh. In his statement, Babul said that he only knows a shopkeeper of Karachi named Ahad.
Meanwhile the Pakistan Foreign Office has appealed the citizens to contact foreign ministry if they have any information about the boy.
