SC hears case against unlawful induction of officers into NAB

Apex court ordered that two of the appointed nine officers should be sent to their original deptt

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – While hearing the case against the unlawful induction of officers into NAB, the Supreme Court ordered that four out of nine NAB’s officers whose appointments were against the relevant rules should opt for retirement.

The apex court ordered that two of the appointed nine officers would be sent back to their original departments while decision is yet to come over the appointment case of Major (retd) Burhan, Major Tariq Mehmood, Major Shabbir Ahmad and Alia Rasheed.

Chairman NAB revealed to court at the occasion that Colonel Tariq Nadeem, Muhammad Younas and Captain Farrukh Nasim have applied for pre-mature retirement while Assistant Director Quetta Muhammad Amir and Deputy Director Lahore Ansar Yaqoob have showed to their consent over going back to their original departments.

The court also ordered that a notification should be issued in respect of filling up vacancies in NAB.
