Traffic plan announced for ECO summit in Islamabad

City Traffic Officer Rawalpindi has appealed people to avoid visiting Islamabad during this period.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Rawalpindi City Traffic Police has issued traffic plan for Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure security and facilitate travellers during ECO summit.

The plan envisages diversion of vehicles from Airport Road to alternate routes except for air travellers.

Airport Road traffic would be diverted to Rawal Road from Chohan Crossing.

Islamabad bound vehicles would use Chandni Chowk, Shamsabad and Double Road route to enter into the capital.

There would be no entry into the capital for vehicles from Murree Road and Faizabad. Vehicles using Murree Road would use Shamsabad, Double Road route to enter Islamabad through 9th Avenue.

City Traffic Officer Rawalpindi has appealed to the people to avoid visiting Islamabad during this period except for emergency.
