Rangers recover huge cache of weapons in Karachi

The weapons and ammunition were to be used for terrorism and target killing purpose in the city.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Rangers on Tuesday recovered huge cache of weapons from Liaquatabad area of Karachi.

The operation was carried out on a tip-off regarding concealment of  weapons by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London members.

MQM’s unit-164 was raided after which three 222 rifles alongwith magazine, three SMGs with four magazines, one G-3 rifle with four magazines, eight pistols and 1800 SMG bullets were confiscated.



According to Rangers spokesperson, the weapons and ammunition were to be used for terrorism and target killing purpose in the city.

On the other hand, Rizvia police conducted house-to-house search operation and arrested eight Afghans residing illegally in the area.
