ECP completes scrutiny of 146 MPs' asset details

ECP has issued notices to 30 legislators after completion of first phase.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has complete scrutiny of asset details submitted by 146 parliamentarians including the prime minister, defence minister, railways minister, NA speaker, minister for planning development and reforms, law minister and PML-Q’s Pervez Elahi.

Political finance wing of ECP will hold briefing in this regard today (Monday).

The political finance wing of ECP is carrying out scrutiny in collaboration with the FBR, Auditor General, provincial revenue departments, FIA and other institutions.

ECP has issued notices to as many as 130 legislators as contradiction exists in their assets’ statements of 2013 and 2016. 

Earlier, ECP has issued notices to 30 legislators after completion of first phase.
