Ayyan Ali flies to Sri Lanka after exclusion from ECL

Ayyan's name was excluded from ECL on the orders of Supreme Court.

KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Ayyan Ali flew to Sri Lanka on Wednesday night from a foreign airline’s flight EK-605.

The model was successful at the airport this time as her name was excluded from the Exit Control List (ECL) by interior ministry in view of the decision by Supreme Court of Pakistan.

Ayyan Ali was arrested from Benazir International airport on March 14, 2015 for smuggling US $5 lac after which a case was registered against her.

After spending four months in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail and attending 13 hearings, she was granted bail in July.

However; her name was included in ECL after Customs Officer Ejaz Mehmood who was investigating the case was murdered.
