The walk-through gates have been installed at the entry point for females.

SEHWAN SHARIF (Dunya News) – Despite the deadly blast at Lal Shehbaz Qalandar’s shrine in Sehwan Sharif, no adequate security measures have been made by the authorities.

The walk-through gate installed at the entry point for females has turned out to be dysfunctional and can result into another tragic incident.

When Dunya News pointed out the error to Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah, he said that no lady constable is present at the shrine whereas the gate will be repaired soon.

Meanwhile, large numbers of devotees keep on pouring the shrine but the incomplete security arrangements pose a threat to their lives.

On February 16, at least 88 people were martyred and over 250 others were wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the crowded shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif.

The high death toll at the shrine makes it one of the worst attacks in Pakistan in recent years.
