Sehwan blast: Sindh govt announces 3-day mourning, lawyers observe black day in Karachi

Lawyers in Karachi are also observing black day against the blast.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh government has announced Friday 3-day mourning in whole province after the blast that took place at the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan Sharif on Thursday killing at least 76 people.

According to the spokesperson of Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah, national flags atop all government and private installations would fly at half-mast in the whole province for three days. Moreover, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Sindh General Secretary Waqar Mehdi told that the party activities will remain suspended for three days.

Lawyers in Karachi are also observing black day against the blast, today. They boycotted all court proceeding including Sindh High Court (SHC), City Court, Malir Court and other Lower Courts. Chief Justice of Sindh High Court discharged all boards on request of High Court Bar, and all court proceedings remained suspended.

The Judges are conducting hearings of important cases in their chambers.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has also announced 1-day mourning, a private TV channel reported. KP CM Pervez Khattak condemned the attack at Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine in strong words and said KP government shares the grief of all victims.
