Around 100,000 people with travel on 35 buses everyday in first phase of the project

MULTAN (Dunya News) - The Multan metro bus project would be inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif today (Tuesday).

Along with Punjab CM, ambassadors of 30 different countries would also attend the event. All the arrangements are complete in this regard.



In first phase of the project, almost 100,000 people would travel in 35 buses everyday. There are 21 different stations of the bus whereas people could travel 18.5 kilometre.

Technical Advisor of the project Sabir Khan Sadozai told Radio Pakistan that the eighteen point five kilometers long track has been completed at a cost of over twenty-eight billion rupees. 

He said escalators, lifts, generators, expansion joints and launching pads of the project have been imported from Europe.

The advisor said that the number of buses will be increased if needed.
