Imran said he never met CJ Nasir ul-Mulk or General Tariq, denied claims he discussed any such thing

LAHORE: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has on Tuesday denied the allegations by senior politician Javed Hashmi regarding discussions of a ‘judicial martial law’ during 2014 sit-in, reported Dunya News.

Talking to Kamran Shahid on Dunya News program ‘On the Front’, Imran Khan said that he had never met General Tariq or former Chief Justice Nasir ul-Mulk. He added that he had never said such a thing to Javed Hashmi.

Imran Khan was asked by Kamran Shahid if the allegations leveled by Javed Hashmi a few weeks ago on Kamran Shahid’s program were true or not. Imran said that he had never met the two people Javed Hashmi had named. He added that he had never made any such claim.

“Have you ever even heard of this term ‘judicial martial law’ before? How is it even possible? What is it supposed to mean? Would the judges be carrying guns in their hands to declare martial law in the country? It’s incomprehensible”.

Imran went on to say: “I respected Javed Hashmi a lot. In fact I respected him the most in the entire party and everyone in PTI would testify to that. However, what he did at the time and the kind of allegations he leveled against me afterwards made me question my judgment about him”.
