Karachi mayor ignored in major decisions: Waseem Akhtar
Waseem Akhtar was displeased after not being called in for Sindh apex committee meeting
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Mayor of Karachi Waseem Akhtar visited the development projects under construction at the Shahrah-e-Faisal on Monday, reported Dunya News.
He complained that he is being ignored in major decisions of Karachi. “Development projects will be completed quickly so that residents don’t have to face worries”, he added.
Karachi mayor stressed that effective measures are needed to stop growing crime rate in the capital city of Sindh. He urged for peace and prosperity in Karachi.
He said that the mindset of provincial government can be judged by not giving enough power to the mayor of Karachi. Waseem Akhtar was unhappy with the government as he was not taken into consideration for Sindh apex committee
