Roadside bomb explodes in Peshawar, none hurt

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - A senior police officer has escaped unhurt after a roadside bomb exploded near the police van in which he was travelling on the Northern Bypass in Peshawar on Friday.

According to police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Salam was inside the vehicle when the remote-controlled bomb exploded in Karkhano Market.

No policeman or passerby was injured in the incident. However, the explosion caused minor damage to a bus standing nearby.

According to police sources, a bomb weighing 6 kilograms was hidden in a trash pile .



Police have collected evidence from the spot and launched investigation into the incident.
