Both Islamabad and Rawalpindi would remain shut on November 2, asserts AML chief

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid has denounced imposition of Section-144 in the federal capital on Thursday and said that no matter the circumstances, the twin cities would remain closed on November 2.

While talking to the media, he lambasted the government for imposition of Section-144 for two months while saying that he would ‘tear the statute to pieces’.

He asserted that both Islamabad and Rawalpindi would remain shut on November 2.

Referring to the government body’s reservations over celebratory push-ups of national cricket team on the picth after winning matches, Rasheed said that he never saw a government that was ‘afraid’ of push-ups.

He said that the people would come out to protest against the government all the way from Chandni Chowk to Islamabad and escort the leaders of the nation to their ‘fate’.

Responding to a recent order of the court to vacate his residence, Rashid said that five-marla Lal Haveli was registered under his name and he was the owner.

The statement has come in ahead of PTI s demonstration in Islamabad on November 2 which was announced by the chief of the political organisation on September 30 while addressing a rally in Lahore.

Imran Khan had warned the premier of presenting himself for accountability before the sit-in or get ready to face the  court of the people .
