Indian forces open unprovoked firing at Bandala sector

Befitting reply to aggression by Pakistan Army silenced the Indian guns.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Indian forces once again violated LoC ceasefire and opened unprovoked firing at Bandala sector on early Thursday morning, Dunya News reported.

According to Dunya News correspondent, India forces opened indiscriminate firing and shelling at 3am that continued till 5am. Mortar shells were also fired by Indian forces during LoC violation.

In another ceasefire violation, Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) at Poonch’s Batal sector.

Pakistan Army personnel gave befitting reply to the aggression, silencing the Indian guns. No loss of life was reported till filing this report.

Instances of unprovoked firing across the Indo-Pak border have occurred intermittently over the years.

The Himalayan territory of Kashmir, which is the main contention, between the two countries, is divided between India and Pakistan by the UN-monitored de facto border of LoC. The territory is claimed in full by both the countries.
