Raheel Sharif reiterated the resolve to not let Pakistani soil be used against Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI: (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday phoned Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and condemned the attack on American University in Kabul. He reiterated the resolve to not let Pakistani soil be used against Afghanistan, reported Dunya News.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan army, Afghan officials had shared three telephone numbers with Pakistan and told that the terrorists were allegedly in contact with the perpetrator through these numbers.

Pakistan army also conducted a search operation near Pak-Afghan border but the numbers provided by the Afghan officials turned out to be from some Afghan company.

ISPR also told that COAS assured the Afghan president of complete support. He also met the commander of the allied forces in Afghanistan General John Nicholson and United States (US) Special Envoy Richard Olson. The American delegation appreciated Pakistan army’s efforts and resolve for regional stability and the war on terror.
