NADRA officer accused of issuing fake NIC arrested
The arrested suspect had also been accused of involvement in human trafficking
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Authorities reached a major breakthrough and cornered the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials who had been issuing fake NICs and providing them to foreigners while 1 official has been arrested on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s directions, reported Dunya News on Friday.
According to Interior Ministry, suspect Syed Afsar Raza had been appointed in NADRA as a junior executive and used to change national identity records by enrolling foreigners as members of migrant families.
The arrested suspect had also been accused of involvement in human trafficking.
On the other hand, another NADRA official Riffat who had been accused of assistance in issuing Muhammad Wali’s fake ID card had been enlisted in Exit Control List (ECL).
