Rulers of the country were puzzled after opposition parties united against corruption

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former federal minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, reacting to Talal Chaudhry, has asked him to inquire the Prime Minister (PM) about the price he paid to save the Parliament when Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had come to its rescue, Dunya News reported Monday.

He said that Chaudhry should ask Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the condition on which he had befriended PPP when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan had staged a sit-in at D-Chowk.

In reaction to Talal Chaudhry’s statement today, Kaira said that PML-N seems frustrated now that anti-corruption noose is being tightened against it.

He demanded Chaudhry to answer the questions asked from him instead of seeking replies to his questions. Kaira said that politics over provision of ‘plant permits’ was started during tenures of Nawaz Sharif and former dictator Ziaul Haq.

Pakistan People’s Party has a harsh history but still its leadership reconciled with PML-N time and again for the sake of democracy and the county, he added.

On the other hand, PTI’s Naeemul Haq said that rulers of the country were puzzled after opposition parties united against corruption.

Earlier today, PML-Ns MNA Talal Chaudhry had criticised PTI chief Imran Khan and PPP leadership for uniting against the ruling party over alleged corruption.

He said that Imran used to denounce Zardari back in the day but now the parties have reconciled. He demanded PTI chief to disclose the alleged condition on which the parties have mended their terms.
