Punjab CM orders investigation against Khalid Shamim's video message ending up in the media
Shehbaz took notice of the incident and ordered that action be taken against those responsible
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif on Friday initiated investigation in regards to the video made of Adiala Jail prisoner Khalid Shamim, reported Dunya News.
Punjab CM met with Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan on Friday. Discussion regarding the security situation of the country and law and order took place during the meeting. Nisar raised the issue of the alleged video of the imprisoned Khalid Shamim that surfaced a few days ago in which Shamim can be seen speaking about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
Nisar informed the CM that the Federal government has made an investigation commission led by Secretary Interior to probe into the matter.
Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and ordered that action be taken against those responsible. Federal and provincial government agreed to take action based on the outcome of the investigation report regarding the matter.
