Two Daesh militants killed in Karachi's Gulshan-e-Maymar
At least two Daesh terrorists were killed in encounter with CTD police in Gulshan Maymar of Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a raid in Gulshan Maymar area of Karachi on Tuesday on intelligence report that Daesh militants were present in the area. According to Senior Superintendent of Police CTD Junaid Sheikh, the militants hiding in the area opened fire at the raiding party. CTD police retaliated as a result two Daesh militants were killed.
SSP Junaid Sheikh further informed that the dead militants, Abdullah and Mujahid, also worked for Tehrik-e-Taliban Sawat before joining Daesh. Hand grenades, kalashnikovs and other ammunition was also recovered from them.
The dead militants were wanted by police in more than 25 cases. Sources further said that two of their accomplices managed to escape from the spot.
