KARACHI (Dunya News) – To a question regarding former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal’s fresh move, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar on Thursday remarked that although the party has been named by Mustafa Kamal but MQM will say ‘Azaan in its ears’.

Former MQM member Mustafa Kamal announced the name of his new party as  Pak Sarzamin Party  on the occasion of Pakistan Republic Day on Wednesday.

Kamal had said that the manifesto of the newly-announced party will be released in the near future, Kamal said.

He further said that he would not allow more polarisation or division within the Pakistani society.

Kamal said the freedom of Kashmir is the first priority of the establishment.

Talking to reporters after appearing in a case pertaining to the local government elections in the Supreme Court, Farooq Sattar said elections on reserved seats have been delayed for the last six months and no elections have been held on the seats of mayors and deputy mayors.

The provincial government is utilising the local governments’ budget, he added.

To a question, Farooq Sattar said the PPP and PML-N are not on the same page on the issue of Kalabgh Dam.

Two major political parties adopted different policies to protect their interests, he added.
