Imran Khan, Tahir-ul-Qadri and 26 others' arrest warrants were issued by local court

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A local court in Islamabad issued arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) chief Tahir-ul-Qadri and 26 others for not appearing in front of court for the hearing of a case of violating section 144 during party sit-in in 2014, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, hearing the case today (Wednesday), judicial magistrate Waqas Rasheed issued arrest warrants for Irman Khan, PAT head Tahirul Qadari, Asad Umar and 24 other politicians for not appearing in front of court for the hearing of the case of violation of Section 144 and the Amplifier Act during the sit-in in the federal capital in 2014.

Unlike Imran Khan and Qadri, the sit-in famous DJ Butt appeared in front of court for the hearing and submitted his plea of acquittal which was overruled by the court.
