PIA employees' strike continues, no flights could take off on 5th day, passengers facing hardships

LAHORE: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – No flights took off on Saturday as well as Pakistan International Airline (PIA) employees’ protest entered Day-5. The passengers are facing serious difficulties as the flight operations remain suspended. Airport Security Force (ASF) didn’t allow the employees to enter the airports today as well, reported Dunya News.

The protests against PIA privatization continued today and flight operations remained suspended on the fifth day of the strike as well. The employees staged sit-in along with their families outside PIA head office in Karachi. In Lahore too, the PIA office remained locked up throughout the day. Employees also staged protest outside Benazir International Airport in Islamabad. Protest was also staged in Quetta.

On the other hand, ASF barred all the protesting employees from entering the airports, cancelling their entry passes.

The protest also continued in Multan, Faisalabad and other cities.
