Pakistan's nuclear assets in safe, responsible hands: Army Chief
General Shareef stated that further steps had been taken to ensure greater stability in security.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shareef during a visit to the Nuclear Security Center of Excellence in Planning Division, Rawalpindi on Friday stated that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear power and the protection of its assets wasa sacred duty. General Shareef stated that the strategic nuclear program and assets of the country were in safe hands. General Shareef also stated that further steps had been taken to ensure greater stability in security.
According to the details, the Army Chief commented that the offer for the utilization of the Center of Excellence has been presented to the international community as well.
General Shareef also viewed a demonstration on the updated and sophisticated training being provided at the Center during his visit. Expressing his confidence on the country’s nuclear security, General Shareef lauded the professional practices being employed for the protection of Pakistan’s strategic assets.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) General Shareef was welcomed by Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Mazhar Jameel upon his arrival at the Center of Excellence.
