Imran Khan demands ballots transferred under army's supervision

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday demanded that ballots of NA-122 by-elections be counted and transferred from the polling stations under Pakistan Army’s supervision, Dunya News reported.

He said PTI workers will follow Returning Officers’ vehicles after the polling.

Talking to a massive campaign rally at Lahore’s Samanabad ground, Khan alleged elections are being conducted by those who rigged it before.

He claimed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has made a massive plan of rigging at women’s polling stations, adding that PTI’s preparation to stop rigging will be better than before.

Imran Khan told that former governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar is training PTI workers to stop rigging. He demanded that army should be deployed even in the vehicles of those who transport ballots after polling, adding that PTI’s worker will also follow Returning Officers’ vehicles.

PTI chief the people of NA-122 will defeat rigging on election day, adding that PTI’s votes will face off PML-N’s ‘notes’ on the polling day.

He appealed the people vote for their ‘future’.

PTI chairman personally drove the car to Lahore from his residence in Bani Gala. His wife Reham Khan accompanied him. After arriving in Lahore, he consulted the party leaders in a meeting over NA-122 campaign.
