SBP to launch Urdu website, translate material after SC's order

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday has said that an Urdu website will be launched very soon after Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan’s order to implement Urdu as official language.

The bank issues annual report, agricultural policy, notifications and quarterly reports in English as well as Urdu. However, the bank has started compiling other material in Urdu after SC’s order. The process will first see translation of prize bonds, funds submission forms and signage.

Translation of rules and regulations will be done later on. Sources said that the supreme bank will require funds and more manpower to compile the material.

The SC has summoned a report in three months after the order.
