Prime Minister stated that he does not want any tiff in the political atmosphere.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Amid ongoing political tension, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday stopped the PML-N leaders from commenting on PPP Co-Chairperson Asif Ali Zaradari’s recent statement.

Talking to Dunya News, Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs Asif Saeed Karmani said that Nawaz Sharif is following policy of reconciliation with all the political parties and under this policy he has directed the party leaders to avoid responding to Zardari’s remarks.

The Prime Minister has stated that he does not want any tiff in the political atmosphere.

Earlier, the government ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to halt arrest of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.

The claim was made during Dunya News’ show “Kamran Khan Kay Sath”. The show had previously exposed corruption of more than 100 billion rupees by Yousaf Raza Gillani and Amin Fahim.

WARNING BY ZARDARI

The directives came a day after Asif Zardari lashed out at the federal government for allegedly targeting the PPP leaders in Sindh.

In a statement issued from London, the former president said that Nawaz Sharif is repeating the politics of 1990’s by targeting Peoples Party and other political opponents.

He accused that the steps being taken by the government clearly indicate that they are "dividing the nation in an attempt to save their natural allies Taliban and the terrorists and weaken the war against terror."

"First Qasim Zia and son of Senator Bangash were arrested and now Dr Asim has been arrested. Immediately after that warrants for arrest for the former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Makhdoom Amin Fahim who is ill has also been issued. Bureaucrats in Sindh are being harassed by the FIA and NAB. The Chief Secretary of Sindh is on bail. All this unmistakably presents a clear pattern of political harassment and revenge, he said by doing so Sindh has been immobilized, under the direct orders from the Prime Minister House," Zardari said.

He said that in Punjab a video surfaced in which a Provincial minister Rana Mushhood is seen receiving money on behalf of Mian brothers, but he has not yet been arrested.

Asif Zardari said that Pakistan Peoples Party is a party of fearless followers who cannot be defeated by the threat of executions, lashing or imprisonment.

He said that today Nawaz Sharif is the Prime Minister of the country and Mian Shahbaz Sharif is the Chief Minister of Punjab only because of the Peoples Party.

Asif Zardari warned that the politics of revenge should immediately be stopped otherwise it will produce disastrous consequences.
