45,700 newly-elected councilors take oath in Peshawar

As per details, elections for District Nazim would be held on Sunday.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – As many as 45,700 newly-elected local bodies councilors took oath at District Council Hall in Peshawar today (Saturday), Dunya News reported.

Additional deputy commissioner Usama Warriach administered the oath to the members. At least 31 women were also among the appointed councilors.

Foolproof security of the event was also ensured by the administration as police personnel were deployed outside the Hall.

As per details, elections for District Nazim would be held on Sunday.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI’s) district councilor Younis Zaheer and Arbab Asim are strong candidates for directorate post in  Peshawar district.
