PM Nawaz arrives in Karachi to review law and order
Nawaz Sharif will chair a meeting of the provincial apex committee.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has arrived in Karachi on a day-long visit today (Thursday) to review law and order situation in the city.
The Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the provincial apex committee at the Governor House. The PM is also expected to constitute a committee to monitor on-going Karachi operation.
The meeting will also be attended by Army Chief, Gen Raheel Sharif, Corps Commander Karachi, Lt Gen Naveed Mukhtar and other high ranking officials.
DG Ranger and Chief Secretary Sindh will brief the meeting about the law and order situation in the city.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will also hold meetings with leaders of various political parties. He is also expected to visit the Liaquat National Hospital to inquire about the health of Rashid Godil.
According to state radio, representatives of Parsi community will also meet the Prime Minister.
He will also inaugurate K-2 project of Karachi Nuclear Power Plant (KANUPP).
