A detailed discussion also took place over reconciliation process for peace and stability

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Thursday said that it is necessary to work together in order to root out terrorism, adding that elements that create distrust between both countries need to be discouraged, Dunya News reported.

According to Foreign Office spokesman, Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin headed the delegate that met Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad.

The Afghan delegate included the interim Defense Minister Masoom Satankzai and Director General (DG) NDS Rehmatullah Nabeel.

The bilateral relations between both the countries were also discussed other than political and security situation of the region.

A detailed discussion also took place over reconciliation process for peace and stability in Afghanistan.

Sources told Dunya News that Afghan delegate relayed Afghan president’s message to Pakistan and informed of the current situation.

The delegate told Pakistan that it is not possible for Afghan government to remain part of the peace process.
