District administration has banned sale, purchase; directed police to deal strictly with incompliant

PESHAWAR: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Sale and purchase of toy guns have on Tuesday been banned in Peshawar and the district administration has directed the police to deal strictly with those who don’t comply with the orders. Parents in the city have also welcomed the ban, reported Dunya News.

According to Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Masood, the ban has been imposed on the sale and purchase of toy guns under the Section 144 for one month in view of the terror threat on the occasion of Eid. He said that strong action will be taken against anyone not complying with the orders. He also appealed to the residents of Peshawar to cooperate with the district administration for successful implementation of this order.

Kids often buy toy guns from markets and their sale peaks during the Eid days. Even the parents seem helpless before kids on such occasions but Peshawar’s district administration has banned the sale and purchase of toy guns for one month.

On the other hand, it has been reported that proper measures have not been taken to successfully implement the orders and the toy guns are being sold openly in the city.
