KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday canceled Iftar dinner in a wake of the deaths caused by the heatwave across Sindh, Dunya News reported.

The death toll from devastating heat wave in the province, compounded by high humidity, power cuts and low water consumption because of Ramadan fasting, has risen to 474.

As per details, CM Sindh had invited the prominent leaders of all political parties at CM House for Iftar dinner but later canceled it as Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) refused to participate in the party.

MQM’s Senior Deputy Convenor Nadeem Nusrat advised the provincial government to serve money on the treatment of heat affectees.
