9000 security workers, 850 polling staff will not cast vote because of not getting postal ballots

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) ordered Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Friday to shut down the control rooms that were opened to monitor local bodies elections. The local bodies electionswill be held in KP after 10 years but it seems like the administration is not performing the job smoothly.

Many polling stations have not got the things required for polling. Female presiding officers could get the things in Government High School Number 1 after many hours of wait in scorching heat. Polling staff does not have proper security staff as well. Security officials and polling staff did not get postal ballots so 9000 security workers and 850 polling staff members will not be able to cast their vote.

There was great communication gap witnessed between the polling staff and security workers in Dera Ismail Khan. Polling staff was seen searching for security workers in Police Line Dera Ismail Khan.
