ATC indicts 106 suspects of Kot Radha Kishan lynching incident

The court while summoning all the witnesses of the incident adjourned the hearing till May 22.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore has indicted 106 suspects including owner of the brick kiln Yousaf Gujjar in the Kot Radha Kishan Christian couple lynching incident, Dunya News reported on Thursday.

According to details, the hearing was conducted in special ATC where the suspects were presented before the court.

Police also submitted the charge-sheet in the court which was read in front of the suspects holding them responsible for the killing however; the suspects refused to accept the charges and pleaded not guilty.

The court while summoning all the witnesses of the incident adjourned the hearing till May 22.

Earlier, brick kiln owner Yousaf Gujjar alongwith his accomplices tortured 32-year-old Shehzad Masih and his 20-year-old wife Shama to death. Later, their bodies were then set on fire in a brick kiln where they worked.

The couple had been accused of burning a copy of the Holy Quran and throwing it in a bin.
