According to the bill, protection officers can demand protection, monetary and residence orders.

It will be the responsibility of the officer to ensure the rescue and shelter of distressed women who have called.

Persons involved in harassment of women can be fitted with a GPS device.

The tracking device will ensure that the movements of such persons do not trespass the areas where women frequent for work and other purposes regularly.

Financial exploitation of women is also considered as a crime under the new bill.

Men will be liable to send an appropriate percentage of their income to their homes. Not sending an appropriate amount to home will also constitute as financial exploitation.

Cabinet has also decided to review the 1998 act regarding marriage ceremonies. Suggestions have been given to revoke one dish party and introduce additional component of soup for winters and sweet drinks for summers.
