Crime rate decreased in KP during current year: report

There have been 15 incidents of terrorism in KP during the first 4 months of 2015

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Crime rate has decreased during the current year in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). According to the competitive report of the police, there have been 15 incidents of terrorism in KP during the first 4 months of 2015 while the number of terrorist attacks was 183 in first four months of 2014, 173 in 2013 and 134 in 2012.

There were 37 bomb blasts in first four months of 2015 in KP while the number of bomb blasts was 97 in first four months of 2014, 114 in 2013 and 83 in 2012. The number of suicide attacks and car bomb attacks has also decreased.

There have been 2 suicide attacks in first four months of 2015 while there were 6 suicide attacks in first four months of 2014 and 10 in 2013. KP police have recovered 6649 guns of different bores and 1000 Kg of explosives during the first four months of 2015. Peshawar police carried out the biggest operation in Sethi Town where police raided a factory of explosives and recovered 720 Kg of explosives.

Inspector General (IG) police said that the rate of crimes other than terrorism has also been decreased. Number of murders during the first four months of 2015 is 60 while 104 murders were recorded in first four months of 2014.
