Protesters are contract employees of board, demanding to become permanent

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Dialogue between Pervaiz Khattak and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Welfare Board employees failed on Friday in Islamabad. Employees of the board were protesting in front of Imran Khan’s residence in Bani Gala since many days. After the failed dialogue, protesters blocked both roads leading towards Imran Khan’s house.

Protesters are contract employees who are demanding the provincial government to appoint them as permanent employees of the board. KP government says that these employees were hired against the merit and they will need to pass the test in order to become permanent. Pervaiz Khattak clearly told the protestors to pass the test if they want to become permanent while the protestors refused to give up on their demands.
