Voters stage protest against ECP's mismanagement in NA-246 by-election

The voting procedure is going slow due to lesser booths in the area.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi citizens’ staged a protest today (Thursday) against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as intense mismanagement is being witnessed during NA-246 by-polls, Dunya News reported.
The voting process started late as the staff didn’t reach on time in various polling stations whereas the voting procedure is going slow due to lesser booths in the area.
Besides this various voters also faced difficulties in finding their polling stations.
Many voters were not allowed to cast their vote in Liaquatabad number 4 on not having a new ID card whereas the citizens were of the view that they have not been issued new ID cards but do possess tokens even then they are not being permitted to cast vote.
On the other hand, many of the residents said that they are living in Liaquatabad area for many years and have voted in General Elections 2013 but this time they are not even listed in the voting roll.
Moreover, voters of Ladies Industrial home FC area stated that despite of standing in long rows they are not being allowed to enter the polling stations.
