MQM Coordination Committee members are accompanying Altaf Hussain.

LONDON (Web Desk) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain is appearing in central London police station as his bail in money laundering case expires today (Tuesday).

Altaf Hussain is accompanied by senior party leaders including Farooq Sattar and Babar Ghauri.

“As part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of money laundering, the Founder and Leader of the Muttahida Quami Movement, Mr Altaf Hussain, was bailed to return to a central London Police Station today,” the MQM spokesperson said.

In June 2014, Altaf Hussain was arrested on suspicion of money-laundering during a raid at his residence in northwest London where he has lived in self-imposed exile since the early 1990s.

On April 1, senior MQM leader Mohammed Anwar was also arrested at his home in north London in connection with the money laundering case. He was released on bail after ten hours of custody.

MQM denies any involvement in money laundering.
