Summary He said he has faith that 2015 is election year

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday announced that PTI lawmakers will now return to assemblies, saying the decision has been made after formation of judicial commission.

Talking to the media after PTI’s core committee session, Khan said that we had resigned but “our resignations were not accepted”. He said they are still members of the assembly and that PTI will participate in the joint session tomorrow (Monday).

He said he will present his party’s stance over the Yemen situation in the National Assembly, adding that PTI will now play the role of ‘fulfilling opposition’.

PTI chairman said that his party took to streets because their mandate was allegedly stolen in 2013 general election. He said he will prove that up to 70 lakh votes cast in 2013 election were bogus.

“It is my faith that election will take place in 2015”, he said, adding that the decision about judicial commission has been taken and that’s why his party has decided to return to assemblies.

Answering a question, PTI chief said that it is their democratic right to partake in NA 246 by-election. He said whatever happened in Karachi was not expected from MQM. He alleged that MQM workers premeditated vandalism on PTI’s Karimabad camp.

PTI chairman said he strongly condemns MQM’s ‘aggression’, adding that MQM lost the opportunity of becoming a democratic party.

Addressing MQM chief, Khan said that he is going to Karachi himself and will visit every corner of the city. “Altaf Hussain can do whatever he wants to stop me”, he said.

Imran Khan said people are fed up of politics of fear.
