ATC judge hearing Benazir Bhutto murder case transferred
Bhutto was killed in a gun and bomb attack outside Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh in December 2007.
RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – Hearing of Benazir Bhutto murder case was adjourned till April 6 due to transfer of the special anti-terrorism court (ATC) judgeEDunya News reported.
Pervez Ismail Joya is fifth judge to be replaced in the case. He has been appointed as session judge in Chakwal.
Earlier, the court had summoned key witness Mark Siegel to record his statement in the case.
Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) informed court that the witness cannot be summoned on such short notice and at least five days should be given to implement the order.
According to sources, Siegel has refused to visit Pakistan due to security concerns and suggested that he can testify through video link.
US journalist Mark Siegel had held former president Pervez Musharraf responsible for Benazir Bhutto’s murder.

The Musharraf regime had blamed then Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsood for Benazir s killing, a charge denied by the Tehreek-e-Taliban.
