Dr Fiaz murder: ASWJ workers protest outside Lal Masjid
Protest wrapped up after the workers reached a negotiated agreement with the police.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Workers of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) on Friday staged a protest in Islamabad against the murder of Dr Fiaz in Karachi.
Dr Fiaz was targeted a couple days earlier; workers of ASWJ therefore staged a protest outside Lal Masjid in Islamabad today, after Jumma prayer and chanted slogans.
Protestors marched towards Parliament House but the police hampered them from entering Red Zone by blocking the road with containers. Protesters said that they were being treated unjustly. They further demanded that targeted killing of their workers must be stopped and that the detained workers must be freed immediately.
The protesters, however, was dispersed after a negotiated agreement with the police.
